Refrigeration and freezing
The freezer temperature setting will change to
–24 °C and the
symbol will appear.
4. You can add previously frozen goods when
the temperature is –18 °C (check with a
fridge/freezer thermometer).
5. Fresh food can be stored once the tempera-
ture reaches –22 °C. The temperature in the
freezer will rise temporarily.
6. After 24 hours, the goods are frozen to the
core. Press the
SUPER COOL
button for
3 seconds once again. The original temper-
ature setting will light up on the display and
the
symbol will go out.
The “super freezing” will be terminated
after 18 hours automatically, and the re-
frigerator will return to original setting.
Freezing capacity
You will find the freezing capacity for your appli-
ance on the appliance’s type plate.
• Adhere to the maximum freezing capacity if
possible.
Up to the indicated maximum freezing
capacity:
If you adhere to the maximum freezing capacity,
the food will freeze at the fastest rate. The tem-
perature in the freezer briefly rises after placing
fresh goods inside. After 12 hours, the goods
are frozen to the core.
Above the indicated maximum freezing
capacity:
If you want to freeze more food in one go as
an exception, freezing will take longer. Keep
fresh goods out of contact with existing frozen
foods, as the frozen foods could start to defrost.
If contact with stored food cannot be avoided,
we recommend that you create a cold reserve in
the freezer before freezing the fresh goods (see
‘Quick freezing’ on page EN-21).
Preparing ice cubes
CAUTION
Health hazard!
Incorrect handling, insufficient cooling or
overlapping items can spoil the stored
food. Consuming spoiled food poses a
risk of food poisoning.
• Use only drinking water to make ice
cubes.
Risk of injury!
Improper handling of the combination
fridge freezer may result in injury.
• Direct contact with the frozen food
poses a risk of ice burns. For this rea-
son, do not put ice cubes straight into
your mouth from the freezer.
1. Fill the measuring cup
12
with fresh drinking
water up to the
MAX
mark. This volume is
enough to fill one ice tray in the icemak-
er
10
.
2. Pour water evenly along the opening into
the ice tray.
3. To fill the second ice tray, repeat steps 1
and 2.
