Care and maintenance
Cleaning outer walls and doors
–
Painted surfaces
Use only light pH-neutral soapy water. Never
use abrasive cleaning powder, soda, acid or
solvent-based cleaning agents.
–
Stainless steel surfaces
Use special stainless steel cleaner from a
specialist shop. Never use polish!
Cleaning the refrigerator
1. Pull the mains plug out of the socket.
2. Remove chilled goods and store in a cool
room.
3. Remove the crisper compartments, door
racks, glass shelves and glass panels, and
clean them in lukewarm water with a little
washing-up liquid.
4. You can also add a few drops of vinegar to
prevent mould formation. (Cleaning vinegar,
household vinegar or vinegar concentrate).
5. Wipe with clean water.
6. Wipe dry and leave the door open a while
to ventilate. Replace the crisper compart-
ments, door racks, glass shelves and glass
panels.
7. Put the chilled goods back inside and insert
the mains plug into the socket.
8. Press the
SUPER COOL
button. The
symbol will light up on the display.
9. Once the fridge reaches a temperature
of +6 °C, press the
SUPER COOL
button
again. The original temperature setting
will light up on the display. Set the desired
temperature (see ‘Setting the fridge temper-
ature’).
Cleaning the freezer
Creating a cold reserve
1. At least 3 hours before defrosting, press
the
SUPER COOL
button for 3 seconds.
The
symbol will light up on the display.
This way, the frozen food gets a cold re-
serve and does not defrost as quickly.
2. Pull the mains plug out of the socket.
3. Remove frozen goods. Wrap them in a
thick layer of newspaper and temporarily
store them in a cool place.
Removing accessories
• Remove the icemaker, ice cube container, ice
scoop, measuring cup and partitions.
• If necessary, you can also take the freezer
tray out of the
upper
freezer compartment.
– To do this, open the upper freezer drawer
as far as it will go and hold firmly onto the
handle.
– Taking hold of the freezer tray with both
hands (one on the right and one on the left),
push it backwards, then pull it up and out.
• Remove the lid from the icemaker.
Cleaning the freezer drawers, trays and
accessories
1. Wash the icemaker and lid, ice scoop,
measuring cup and partitions in warm,
soapy water. Dry thoroughly.
2. Wipe out the freezer drawers and freezer
trays with warm, soapy water. When wip-
ing clean, add a few drops of vinegar to
the water to prevent mould from forming.
Dry thoroughly.
3. Clean the door seal with clean water. Dry
thoroughly.
4. After cleaning rub-dry everything thorough-
ly, including the door seal, and leave to air
for a while.
5. Put the frozen goods back inside and in-
sert the mains plug into the socket.
6. Press
the
SUPER COOL
button for 3 sec-
onds. The
symbol will light up on the
display.
7. Once the freezer has reached a temper-
ature of -18 °C, press the
SUPER COOL
button for 3 seconds once again. The orig-
inal temperature setting will light up on the
display and the
symbol will go out.
8. Set the desired temperature (see ’Setting
the freezer temperature’).
