Use this table to check if you can correct the fault yourself.

Check the socket by connecting another
appliance.
The mains plug has not been in-
serted properly.
Ensure the mains plug is securely
plugged in.

Further cooling is not required. When
the inside temperature increases, the
compressor automatically switches on

The refrigerator is near a heat
source.
Place an insulation plate between the re-
frigerator and the heat source or change
the location of the appliance.
The foods inside are warm and
have not been cooled.
Only put cooled food in the refrigerator.
Too many goods added at once. Do not put more goods into storage at
one go than as specified in ‘Freezing
capacity’ (see „Technical specifications“
on page 29).
A thick layer of ice has formed. Defrost the freezer compartment.
The ambient temperature is too
low or too high.
Adjust the ambient temperature to the
climate class (see „Technical specifica-
