Troubleshooting
Malfunctions can occur in all electrical appliances. This does not necessarily mean there is a
defect in the appliance. For this reason, please check the tables to see if you can correct the
malfunction.

Never try to repair a defective or suspected defective appliance yourself. You can
put your own and future users’ lives in danger. Only authorised specialists are al-
lowed to carry out this repair work.
Problem
Possible causes, solutions and tips
The fan does not run
permanently.
This is not a malfunction. If you have selected a heating method
with fan operation (convection/hot air), this will ensure the heat is
evenly spread around the cooking chamber and switches on and
off automatically.
Oven window steams
up when it gets hot,
condensation builds up
in the oven.
This is caused by temperature differences when heating, baking
cakes with a very moist layer (e.g. fruit) or when roasting larger
pieces of meat.
Oven light(s) defective.
Replace the defective bulb for the oven light. See chapter
“Cleaning and servicing the oven”.
Notice: Defective bulbs do not fall under our warranty.
The time

on the display.
There was a brief power failure or the power supply was
temporarily cut off.
• Set the time.
The display shows
SAB.
The oven is now in Sabbath mode. For more information, refer to
the chapter “Operating the oven, Sabbath mode”.
The oven door cannot
be closed properly.
There are foreign objects on the door seal surfaces.
• Clean the door seal faces thoroughly.
The oven door is warped or the door seals/latch is defective.
• Do not use the appliance! Please contact our Service regarding
this.
The external cooling
fan does not run
permanently.
This is not a malfunction. The fan will switch on and off during the
cooking process as required.
