Holiday mode
CAUTION
Health hazard!
Insuffi cient cooling can cause stored
food to spoil. This could lead to a risk of
food poisoning when consumed.
■
Note that the shelf life of stored food
may be shortened due to a rise in the
temperature inside the appliance.
■
Remove stored food from the appli-
ance – even when only switching off
the appliance temporarily – and store
it in a suffi ciently cool place or in an-
other cooling appliance.
■
Consume thawed and defrosted
foods immediately, do not refreeze.
If you won’t be using the appliance for a pro-
longed period (e.g. if you go on holiday), you
can activate “Holiday mode”. This will save
energy.
When the “Holiday mode” is active, the fridge
temperature will be adjusted to +17 °C; the
freezer temperature remains the same.
If Holiday mode is activated, you can-
not change the fridge temperature.
Activating “Holiday mode”
1. Unlock the control panel as described in
section “Locking/unlocking the control pan-
el” on page EN-13.
2. Press the MODE button (20)repeatedly
until the indicator (16) is shown on the
display.
The fridge temperature display changes
to +17 °C; the freezer temperature display
remains unchanged.
Deactivating “Holiday mode”
1. Unlock the control panel as described in
section “Locking/unlocking the control pan-
el” on page EN-13.
2. Press the MODE button (20) repeatedly
until the (21),
ECO
(22) or (16) indica-
tors are no longer illuminated.
ECO mode
In “ECO” mode, the temperatures in the fridge
and freezer are automatically set according to
the ambient temperature:

Activating ECO mode

The fridge temperature display changes
to +6 °C; the freezer temperature display
changes to –16 °C.
Deactivating ECO mode
1. Unlock the control panel as described in
section “Locking/unlocking the control pan-
el” on page EN-13.
2. Press the MODE button (20) repeatedly
until the (21),
ECO

tors are no longer illuminated.
If the ECO mode is activated, you can
no longer change the temperature in
the fridge or freezer.
