Switching the appliance on
and off
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
If the cooling unit has been transport-

pressor may get into the cooling circuit.
■
Allow the appliance to stand upright
for approx. 2 hours after transport

mains plug into the socket.
The indicators on the display (7) will light

2. Press and hold the button (5) for ap-
proximately 3 seconds.
The compressor starts to work, the refrig-

of it.

the appliance door (2) open slightly to

Setting the temperature
CAUTION
Health hazard!
The appliance may not operate proper-
ly if exposed to low ambient tempera-
tures for extended periods of time. The
temperature may increase in the fridge
which may cause the foods stored with-
in to spoil more quickly.
■
Always ensure the prescribed ambi-
ent temperature is maintained (see
“Intended use” on page EN-4).
If you set a lower temperature, you will
require greater refrigeration perfor-
mance. This increases energy con-
sumption.
Switching on for the first time
The standard temperature setting for when
the appliance is first switched on is –18 °C.
