Troubleshooting table
Problem
Possible cause
Solutions, tips
Compressor off,
interior light off.
No electricity to socket.
Check by connecting another appliance.
Mains plug is loose.
Check the tightness of the mains plug.
Compressor off,
interior light on.
Desired temperature has
been reached.
Further cooling not required. When the
inside temperature rises, the compressor
automatically switches on.
Repositioning.
The appliance requires 2 hours to allow the
refrigerant to settle.
Appliance cools
too quickly.
Temperature scale is set too
cold.
Turn down the temperature (see „Thermo-
stat control“ on page GB-9).
The appliance
doesn’t cool suffi-
ciently.
Incorrect temperature select-
ed.
Set lower temperature (see page GB-9).
Door not tightly closed or
door seal is not completely
tight.

The appliance is near a heat
source.
Place insulation plate in-between or
change location.
Food has been put in warm. Only put in cooled foods.
Ambient temperature too low
or too high.
Adjust the ambient temperature to the cli-
mate category (see „Product data sheet
and technical specifications“ on page
GB-22).
Compressor seems defec-
tive.
Set temperature to “+2”. If the compressor
does not switch on within an hour, please
contact our service centre (see page GB-20).
Appliance is mak-
ing a noise.
Functional operating noise.
These are not malfunctions.
Humming: Refrigeration unit is running.
Flowing noise: Refrigerant is flowing through
the pipes.
Clicking: Motor switching on or off.
Distracting noises that you
can disregard.
Check that it is stable.
Remove any objects from the appliance.
Remove any foreign matter from the back
of the appliance.
