Before getting started
– Read chapter “Safety“ on page EN-5, in
particular the safety instructions.
– Set up and connect the refrigerator as de-
scribed in chapter “Start-up“ on page EN-18.
Starting up the refrigerator
NOTICE
Risk of damage to property!
If the refrigerator has been carried on
its side, lubricant from the compressor
may have got into the refrigeration cir-
cuit.
■
If possible, do not tilt the refrigerator
into a horizontal position.
■
Allow the refrigerator to stand up-
right for 2 hours before starting it up.
This gives the lubricant time to fl ow
back into the compressor.
• Switch off the fuse for the mains socket
to which the refrigerator is connected. A
signal tone will sound, and the refrigerator
light (6) will illuminate when the door is
opened.

The refrigerator is factory-set to switch
on automatically when you first insert the
mains plug into the socket.

• Press and hold the Adjust button (1) for 5
seconds.
A signal tone will sound and the refrigerator
light (6) will illuminate. The refrigerator is
switched on.
If the refrigerator makes disturbing
noises after it is switched on, check
that it is in a stable position and cor-
rectly installed.

2. Empty the refrigerator and clean it as
