Switching on for the first time
When the appliance is switched on the first
time, the standard temperature setting is
+4 °C for the fridge and -18 °C for the freezer.
All symbols on the display will also illuminate
for a couple of seconds; the control panel is
locked.
Setting the temperature in the
fridge
The fridge temperature can be set between
+2 °C and +8 °C.
1. Press the button (27) repeatedly until
the indicator (21) lights up.
2. Press the TEMP button (25) repeatedly un-
til the desired temperature is shown on the
display.

The temperature is reduced by 1 °C each
time you press the button. If the setting
r2 °C, it jumps back to +8 °C the
next time you press the button.
The ideal fridge temperature is +6 °C.
Setting the temperature in the
freezer
The freezer temperature can be set between
-14 °C and -24 °C.
1. Press the button (27) repeatedly until
the indicator (26) lights up.
2. Press the TEMP button (25) repeatedly un-
til the desired temperature is shown on the
display (20).
The temperature is reduced by 1 °C each
time you press the button. If the setting
reaches -24 °C, it jumps back to -14 °C the
next time you press the button.
The ideal fridge temperature is -18 °C.
Setting the operating modes
The appliance has two additional operating
modes: Super Freeze and Eco Energy.
Activating the Super Freeze
function
The ‘Super Freeze’ operating mode rapidly
cools the freezer to -24 °C.
• Press the SUPER button (24) until the indi-
cator (19) lights up.
The temperature indicator on the dis-
play (20) will switch to -24 °C.
Deactivating the Super Freeze
function
– Super Freeze mode is automatically deac-
tivated after 52 hours.
– To manually deactivate Super Freeze,
press the SUPER button (24).
The temperature display will return to the
original setting.
Eco Energy
CAUTION
Health hazard!
Insuffi cient cooling can cause stored
food to spoil. This could lead to a risk of
food poisoning when consumed.

Note that the shelf life of stored food
may be shortened due to a rise in the
temperature inside the appliance.
■
Remove stored food from the appli-
ance – even when only switching off
the appliance temporarily – and store
it in a suffi ciently cool place or in an-
other cooling appliance.
■
Consume thawed and defrosted
foods immediately, do not refreeze.
This function allows the unit to operate in a
power saving mode, which is useful for reduc-
ing energy consumption when you are away.
