Changing the door hinges
12
Preparation
Positioning the freezer
The freezer must stand on a level, solid surface. For the best result,
check the position of the appliance with a spirit level. When you
open the door, the freezer should not move. You can balance out
unevenness in the surface with the two front adjusting feet.
1. Close the freezer door.
2. Tilt the freezer backwards slightly.
3. Screw/unscrew the screw feet as required.
4. Stand the freezer straight up once again and check its align-
ment with a spirit level.
5. Repeat these steps until the freezer is level.
Changing the door hinges
WARNING
Risk of electric shock!
To change the door hinges, you will need to remove
the cover from the freezer. Live parts can become ac-
cessible by doing so.
• Disconnect the mains plug before starting to change
the door hinges.
You can change the side that the door opens to. The door hinges are
on the right upon delivery. Since some manual skills are required to
carry out this change, please read through the steps of the procedure
beforehand. You need the following tools:
– Cross-head screwdriver
– 8 and 10 mm open-end wrench or socket spanner
– Flat-nose pliers
1. Pull out the blind plug from the top of the door.
2. Use a screwdriver to loosen both screw covers on the top of
the cover.
3. Unscrew the two screws (on the left and right) from the top of
the cover. To do this, use a cross-head screwdriver.
