Only parts corresponding to the original appliance
specifications may be used for repairs. This freez-
er contains electrical and mechanical parts that are
essential for protection against potential sources of
danger. If you carry out repairs to the freezer your-
self, damage to property or personal injury may ensue
and liability and warranty claims will be rendered void.
Never try to repair the defective or suspected defec-
tive freezer yourself.
• Do not operate the freezer with an external timer or
separate telecontrol system.
• Never immerse the mains cord or mains plug in water
or in any other liquids.
• Never touch the mains plug with wet hands.
• The freezer complies with protection class 1. Only
connect the freezer to a properly installed socket. Con-

• Never pull the mains plug out of the socket by the
mains cord; instead, always do so by taking hold of
the mains plug itself.
• Keep the freezer, mains plug and mains cord away
from open flames and hot surfaces.
• Lay the mains cord out in such a way that it does not
pose a tripping hazard.
• When positioning the appliance, ensure the supply
cord is not trapped or damaged.
• Do not locate multiple portable socket- outlets or port-
able power supplies at the rear of the appliance.
• Do not kink the mains cord and do not lay it over sharp
edges. This can result in a break in the cable.
