after approximately one hour.
6. Wipe the interior with warm rinsing water.
7. Clean the door seal. (See chapter „Cleaning the door seal“
on page EN-20.)
8. After cleaning thoroughly rub everything dry, including the
door seal, and briefly allow to air.
9. Plug the mains plug back into the socket and turn the tem-
perature controller

to ‘MAX’.
10. Place your frozen food back into the freezer.
11. As soon as a temperature of –18°C has been reached, you

Cleaning the door seal
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
The freezer door seal is sensitive to grease and oil;
these make the door seal porous and brittle.
• Use only damp, clean cloths.
• Do not use caustic, abrasive, sand, soda, or acidic
detergents or sponges.
Check the door seal regularly for contamination and damage to
ensure that no warm air can get into the freezer.
1. Clean the door seal regularly with a damp cloth.
2. Clamp a piece of paper between the freezer and freezer
door at various locations. The paper should be difficult to pull
through at all points.
3. If the seal is not uniform everywhere, warm it gently with a hair
dryer at the unsealed points. Gently pull the seal out with your
fingers.
