Defrosting the appliance
WARNING
Danger of explosion!
Improper handling of the appliance
may lead to deflagration/explosion!
■
Never use defrosting sprays. They can
generate explosive gases.
NOTICE
Risk of damage to property!
When cleaning, please note:
■
Never use harsh, granular, so-
da-based, solvent-based or abrasive
cleaners. We recommend all-purpose
cleaners with a neutral pH.
■
The door seal is sensitive to oil and
grease - the rubber becomes porous
and brittle as a result.
■
The surfaces can be damaged by un-
suitable cleaning agents. Use care
products only on the outer surfaces.
■
Use only soft cloths.
If possible, defrost the appliance in
winter when the outside temperature is
low. You can then store the food on the bal-
cony (or similar) while defrosting.
Alternatively, you can wrap up the frozen food
in a thick layer of newspaper and store it in a
cool room or insulated bag.
1. Before defrosting the freezer, further low-
er the temperature of the frozen food by
setting the temperature control dial (1) to
MAX level for 3 hours.
2. After this time, disconnect the mains plug
from the socket or switch off the fuse.
3. Take the chilled food out of the fridge and
take the frozen food out of the freezer.
4. Ensure that your food is kept cool enough.
