Cleaning the freezer
compartment
NOTICE
When cleaning, please note:
■
Never use harsh, granular, so-
da-based, solvent-based or abrasive
cleaners. We recommend all-purpose
cleaners with a neutral pH.
■
The door seal is sensitive to oil and
grease - the rubber becomes porous
and brittle as a result.
■
The door seals can be damaged by
unsuitable cleaning agents. Use care
products only on the outer surfaces.
■
Use only soft cloths for cleaning.
1. At least 3 hours before cleaning, turn the
temperature controller (9) to “COLDER”.
This way, the frozen food gets a cold re-
serve and does not thaw so fast.
2. Pull the mains plug out of the socket.
3. Take the food out of the fridge and take
the frozen food out of the freezer com-
partment.
4. Ensure that your food is kept cool
enough.
5. Remove the drawers (7) from the freezer
compartment. Wash them in warm water
with washing up liquid and dry thoroughly.
6. Wipe down the inside with warm water
and washing-up liquid.
When wiping clean, add a few drops of
vinegar to the water to prevent mould
from forming.
7. Clean the door seal with clean water
only. It is sensitive to oil and grease.
8. Rub everything completely dry, including
the door seals, and allow to air briefly.
9. Reinsert the drawers (7) and put the
food back into the fridge and freezer
compartments.
10. Plug the mains plug back into the socket
and turn the temperature controller to
“COLDER”.
11. As soon as a temperature of -18 °C has
been reached, turn the temperature con-
troller back to “NORMAL”.
