Setting the temperature in the
freezer
(9)
You can use the temperature controller (9) to
set the temperature in the freezer, depend-
ing on the ambient temperature (e.g. higher
in summer and lower in winter).
‘NORMAL’ is the default setting for the freez-
er.
• When the ambient temperature rises in
summer, turn the temperature controller
to a position between ‘NORMAL’ and
‘COLD’.
When the ambient temperature is above
35 °C, turn the temperature controller to
‘COLD’.
• When the ambient temperature drops in
winter, turn the temperature controller to a
position between ‘NORMAL’ and ‘COLD-
ER’.
When the temperature controller is set
to ‘COLDER’, the temperature in the
freezer will be lower; however, this will
cause the cooling capacity in the fridge to
drop.
Using the thermometer
Ideally, use 2 fridge/freezer thermometers to
control the cooling power.
Place one
• above the vegetable drawers (11) in the
fridge; the correct temperature here is +6
°C.
The ideal temperature for the freezer is
-18 °C.
Shelves and door shelves
The glass shelves (14), bottle rack (13), door
shelves (3) and (4) can be taken out, and the
door shelves (4) can be rearranged if neces-
sary.
You will achieve the most efficient use of en-
ergy for your appliance if you combine the
drawers, glass shelves and door shelves as
shown in the diagram page EN-13.
1. Lift up and remove the shelf/door shelf.
2. Insert the shelf/door shelf from above into
the new position.
