Activating Holiday mode
CAUTION
Health hazard!
Stored food can spoil from insufficient
cooling.
This could lead to a risk of food poison-
ing when consumed.
■
Note that the shelf life of stored food
may be shortened due to a rise in the
temperature inside the appliance.
■
Remove stored food from the appli-
ance – even when only switching off
the appliance temporarily – and store
it in a sufficiently cool place or in an-
other cooling appliance.
■
Consume thawed and defrosted foods
immediately and do not refreeze.
If you won’t use the appliance for a prolonged
period (e.g. if you go on holiday), you can ac-
tivate Holiday mode. This will save energy.
When the Holiday mode is active, the fridge
temperature will be adjusted to +17 °C; the
freezer temperature remains the same.
1. Unlock the control panel as described
in section “Locking/unlocking the control
panel” on page EN-12.
2. Press the MODE button (25) repeatedly
until the “Holiday mode active” indica-
tor (21) flashes. The temperature dis-
play for the fridge will change to +17 °C;
the freezer temperature remains the
same.
The temperature setting in the freezer re-
turns to the previously set value; Holiday
mode is activated.
Deactivating Holiday mode
1. Unlock the control panel as described
in section “Locking/unlocking the control
panel” on page EN-12.
2. Press the MODE button (25) repeated-
ly until the indicators
ECO
(27), (21) or
(26) are no longer visible.
The temperature setting in the fridge re-
turns to the previously set value; Holiday
mode is deactivated.
Door alarm
The use of energy and the temperature inside
the appliance can increase if the doors are
opened often or for long periods of time.
If the fridge door (2) is left open for longer
than 1 minute, a beep will sound.
• Close the refrigerator door (2).
The shelves
The glass shelves (18) can be removed and
rearranged if necessary.
The sliding drawer (12) in the freezer can be
removed, if needed, to create more space in
the large drawer (11) below it.
You will achieve the most efficient use of en-
ergy for your appliance if you combine the
drawers, glass shelves and door shelves as
shown in the figure on page EN-10.
• To remove the glass shelves (16) and (18)
(e.g. to clean them), lift them slightly at the
front and then pull them out of the guide
rail.
• To remove the glass cover (14) for the
fresh food drawer (13), you should re-
move the fruit/vegetable drawer (15) first.
