1. Place the appliance on as flat and as firm
a base as possible.
2. To ensure adequate air circulation,
– the entire space above the appliance

against the wall. Leave space of at least
5 cm to the back wall.

with the front screw-on foot (7).
– Close the door.
– Tilt the appliance backwards slightly.
– Screw/unscrew the screw-on foot until
the appliance is level.
– Put the appliance back into an upright
position.
4. Check the position with a spirit level. The
appliance should not move when opening
the door.
Cleaning before use
To remove the odour that comes with all new
appliances, clean the appliance before use
(see „Care and maintenance“ on page EN-12).
Connecting the appliance
NOTICE
Risk of damage to property!
If the refrigerator has been transported
horizontally, lubricant from the compressor
may get into the cooling circuit.
■
If possible, do not tilt the cooling
appliance horizontally.
■
After transporting the refrigerator,
leave it in its normal position for
approx. 2 hours before connecting it.
This allows the lubricant enough time
to flow back into the compressor.
• Insert the mains plug into an easily acces-
sible socket (220-240 V~ / 50 Hz). When
the door is open, the interior lighting (1) is
now switched on.
• You will find all important information
about operation from page EN-9.
