The appliance is intended to chill fresh foods.
The appliance is intended solely for use in
private households.
Use the appliance exclusively as described
in this user manual. Any other use is deemed
improper and may result in damage to prop-
erty or even personal injury. The manufactur-
er accepts no liability for damage caused by
improper use.

The following symbols can be found in this
user manual.
WARNING
This symbol indicates a hazard with a me-
dium level of risk which, if not avoided,
could result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION
This symbol indicates a hazard with a low
level of risk which, if not avoided, could re-
sult in minor or moderate injury.
NOTICE
This symbol warns against possible dam-
age to property.
This symbol refers to useful supple-
mentary information.

Safety notices
In this chapter you will fi nd general safety
notices which you must always observe for
your own protection and that of third par-
ties. Please also observe the warning no-
tices in the individual chapters regarding
operation, start-up, etc.
Risks in handling household
electrical appliances
WARNING
Risk of electric shock!
The appliance operates on 220-240 V~ / 50 Hz
mains voltage. Touching live parts may result
in severe injury or death.

Only use the appliance indoors. Do not
use in wet rooms or in the rain.

Do not operate or continue to operate
the appliance,

if it has visible damage, e.g. the power
cord is defective.
■
if it starts smoking or there is a smell
of burning.

makes unfamiliar noises.
In this case, you should pull out the
mains plug and have the appliance re-
paired (see „Service department“ on
page EN-20).

Only connect the appliance to an easily
accessible socket so that you can quickly
disconnect it from the mains in the event
of a fault.

Lay the mains cord so that it does not
pose a tripping hazard.

Keep the appliance, mains plug and
mains cord away from open fl ames and
hot surfaces.

Do not kink or pinch the mains cord or
lay it over sharp edges. This can result in
a break in the cable.

When positioning the appliance, ensure
the supply cord is not trapped or dama-
ged.
