Getting started
Connecting the refrigerator
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
If the refrigerator has been carried on its side for an
extended time, lubricant from the compressor may
have got into the refrigeration circuit.
• In this case, leave the refrigerator in its normal po-
sition for about 12 hours before switching it on. This
allows the lubricant enough time to flow back into
the compressor.
1. Clean the refrigerator before starting it up for the first time (see
‘Cleaning and maintenance’ on page EN-18).
2. Open the door.
3. Turn the temperature controller
1
to ‘7’. The light switches on,
the compressor starts to work after a short time, the refrigerant
flows through the pipes and a quiet humming can be heard.
Setting the temperature
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
The refrigerator may not work properly if it is exposed
to temperatures that are colder than the lower limit
of the temperature range for which it is designed for
longer periods.
• Note the temperature range for which the refrigera-
tor is designed.
• If necessary, place insulating plates.
• If necessary, adjust the temperature using the tem-
perature controller.
Using the temperature controller
1
, you can set the temperature in
the refrigerator. The cooling power is variable adjustable from ‘0’
to ‘7’. ‘7’ is the lowest temperature.
The ideal temperature for the refrigerator is +6 °C. The refrigerator
is designed for a specific ambient temperature (see “Intended use”
on page EN-4).
