Deactivating Quick refrigerating or
Quick freezing
– Quick refrigerating is automatically deacti-
vated 30 minutes after fridge temperature
has reached 2 °C.
– The maximum quick refrigerating time is
6 hours.
– Quick freezing is automatically deactivat-
ed after 40 hours.
To manually deactivate quick refrigerating or
quick freezing,
1. Unlock the control panel as described in
section „Locking and unlocking the con-
trol panel“ on page EN-18.
2. Press the MODE SELECT button (25) re-
peatedly until the (23), (19) or (20)
indicators are no longer illuminated on the
display.
Holiday mode
CAUTION
Health hazard!
Insuffi cient cooling can cause stored
food to spoil.
This could lead to a risk of food poison-
ing when consumed.
■
Note that the shelf life of stored food
may be shortened due to a rise in the
temperature inside the appliance.
■
Remove stored food from the appli-
ance – even when only switching off
the appliance temporarily – and store
it in a suffi ciently cool place or in an-
other cooling appliance.
■
Consume thawed and defrosted
foods immediately, do not refreeze.
If you won’t use the appliance for a prolonged
period (e.g. if you go on holiday), you can ac-
tivate ‘Holiday mode’. This will save energy.
The fridge will switch off when ‘Holiday mode’
is active. The temperature in the freezer is
kept at -18 °C.
Activating “Holiday mode”
1. Unlock the control panel as described in
section „Locking and unlocking the con-
trol panel“ on page EN-18.
2. Press the MODE SELECT button (25) re-
peatedly until the indicator is shown on
the display.
The freezer temperature display (21)
changes to –18°C; the fridge temperature
display (22) shows ‘–’.
Deactivating “Holiday mode”
1. Unlock the control panel as described in
section „Locking and unlocking the con-
trol panel“ on page EN-18.
2. Press the MODE SELECT button (25) re-
peatedly until the (23), (19) or (20)
indicators are no longer illuminated on the
display.
Door alarm
The energy consumption and the tempera-
ture inside the appliance can increase if the
appliance doors are opened often or for long
periods of time.
A beep will sound if the appliance doors are left
open for longer than 2 minutes.
• Close the appliance doors.
Door opening sound
When you open the appliance doors (2), (17),
a signal tone sounds.
• To deactivate this signal tone, unlock the
control panel and press the two buttons „+“
(24) and „-“ (18) simultaneously for 3 sec-
onds.
A descending signal tone sounds to confirm
deactivation.
