3. Manually screw the ¾-inch screw connec-
tor onto a tap.
4. Open the water supply.
5. Check the hose connections for leaks.
6. Allow at least 3.5 litres of water to run
through the hose system to flush out any
air that might be present.
Leaks
If leaks are present, proceed as follows:
1. Close the water supply.
2. Hold a vessel or towel under the leak to
catch any water that might flow out.
3. Loosen the hose connection at the leak.
4. Reattach the hose.
5. Open the water supply.
6. Check the hose connections for leaks
once more.

Service Centre (see page EN-43).
Operating the appliance
without a water filter
If the tap water in your home is free of parti-
cles and residue, you can operate the appli-
ance without a water filter.
• Connect the white appliance hose (54)
directly to the water supply. If necessary,
extend the white appliance hose using the
extension hose (55) (see "Extending the
appliance hose“ on page EN-38).
Connecting the appliance to
the power supply
WARNING
Risk of electric shock!
Touching live parts may result in severe
injury or death.

Do not operate or continue to oper-
ate the appliance, if it
–
shows visible signs of damage, e.g.
the mains cable is defective,
–
starts smoking or there is a smell of
burning,
–
makes unfamiliar noises.
In such cases, remove the mains plug
from the socket or unscrew/isolate the
fuse and contact our service depart-
ment (see page EN-43).

Do not connect to a timer or a sepa-
rate remote-controlled system for dis-
tance monitoring and control.

If the mains plug is no longer acces-
sible after installation, an all-pole dis-
connecting device complying with
overvoltage category III must be
connected to the house wiring with a
contact gap of at least 3 mm; this in-
cludes fuses, circuit breakers and con-
tactors.

Do not kink or pinch the mains cable
or lay it over sharp edges. This can re-
sult in a break in the cable.
CAUTION
Fire hazard!
Improper handling of the appliance can
lead to fi re and damage to property.
■
Connect the appliance only to a prop-
erly installed and earthed electric sock-
et. Do not connect to a multi-socket
extension cable or a multi-socket plug.
