In the event of a fault, as well as be-
fore extensive cleaning, pull out the
mains plug or isolate/unscrew the
fuse.
Risks for certain groups of people
WARNING
Danger to children and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental
abilities (e.g. people with disabilities
to some extent, older persons with im-
paired physical and mental abilities)
or who lack experience and knowledge
(e.g. older children)!

Children can become entangled
when playing in the packaging fi lm
and suffocate. Ensure that the pack-
aging fi lm remains out of the reach
of children.

Children may swallow small parts and
suffocate. Ensure that children do not
remove any small parts from the ap-
pliance or take them out of the ac-
cessories packaging and place them
in their mouths.

This appliance can be used by chil-
dren aged from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack
of experience and knowledge if they
have been given supervision or in-
struction concerning use of the ap-
pliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved.

Since all poles of the appliance can-
not be disconnected from the mains
via an accessible disconnecting de-
vice, an all-pole disconnecting device
in accordance with overvoltage cate-
gory III must be connected within the
house installation with at least 3 mm
contact clearance; consult a qualifi ed
professional if necessary (see “Ser-
vice” on page EN-18).

If the supply cord is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualifi ed
persons in order to avoid a hazard.

Do not put any objects in or through
the housing openings and also make
sure that children cannot insert any
objects through them.

Never open the housing.
■
Keep the appliance, mains plug and
mains cord away from naked fl ames
and hot surfaces.
■
Do not kink or pinch the mains cord
or lay it over sharp edges. This can re-
sult in a break in the cable.
■
Never use the mains cable as a carry-
ing handle.
■
Always grasp the mains plug, not the
mains cord.
■
Never touch the mains plug with wet
hands.
■
Never immerse the appliance, mains
cord or plug in water or any other liq-
uids.
■
Never try to repair a defective or sus-
pected defective appliance yourself.

ers’ lives in danger. Only authorised
specialists are allowed to carry out
this repair work.
