Use the right Ramp for the job.  Do not attempt to force a small Ramp to do the work

Check maximum tailgate weight capacity.  Never exceed this capacity if tailgate capacity 

is less than 1,250 lb.
Use Safety Chains to prevent ramps from sliding off tailgate only.
