CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL SUPPLY
- WARNING -
Make certain that the main circuit breaker is in the OFF position when working in
all sections of the power case.
- NOTE -
The electrical connection to the machine must comply with all the relevant
electrical regulations.
The electrical connection to the machine must be a water-proof flexible connection
to allow movement of the power case platform for maintenance purposes. Refer to
the space requirements at the rear of the machine, indicated in Figure 1.1.
The electrical power connection to the machine must be performed by a Hardinge
field service engineer or qualified electrician.
Local codes or company policy may require that special personnel make the power
connection to the machine.
1. Turn off the power source to the electric cable that leads to the machine.
2. Verify main circuit breaker handle "J", Figure 1.54, is in the OFF position.
3. Release six latches “I”.
4. Open the left power case door.
5. Lift door release "K", Figure 1.55, and open the right power case door.
- NOTE -
The main circuit breaker is located in the right side of the power case.
6. Remove one screw and the clear face plate from the upper wire shield on main circuit breaker
"N", Figure 1.61 or 1.62.
