ODROID C2 USER MANUAL
Incorrect usage of microSD card slot
There are some microSD cards which can cause an addition-
al boot delay time of around 30 seconds. According to our testing,
most Sandisk microSD cards don’t cause a long boot delay. The
ODROID-C2 model is compatible with a wider array of microSD cards
than earlier ODROID SBC models.
The ODROID-C2 PCB has the outline of an microSD card as a
guide to the proper insertion of the card. Also, note that the microSD
slot cannot accept an eMMC module mounted on the eMMC module
reader.
5V 2A DC input
The DC input is for 5V power input, with an inner (positive) di-
ameter of 0.8mm, and an outer negative diameter of 2.5mm. The
ODROID-C2 consumes less than 0.5A in most cases, but it can climb
to 2A if many passive USB peripherals are attached directly to the
main board. Peak momentary consumption may increase to 3A, on a
system with too many power hungry peripherals.
USB host ports
There are four USB 2.0 host ports. You can plug a keyboard,
mouse, WiFi adapter, storage or many other devices into these ports.
You can also charge your smartphone with it! If you need more than 4
ports, you can use a powered external USB hub to reduce the power
load on the main device.
HDMI 2.0 port
To ensure system longevity and reduce dependency on expen-
sive cables, we used the standard Type-A HDMI 2.0 connector. A
high-speed HDMI 2.0 (for 4K resolution) cable may be used with this
