1. APPLICATION
The IN647 and IN648 stainless steel round anchorage points
are designed to be anchorages which can be permanently
secured to a structure (i.e. side of a vessel) to which a
connection device or personal protective equipment can
be attached thus facilitating safe working at height.
The anchorage points have been subject to type testing and
fully complies with the requirements of EN 795:2012
(Class A).
They are appropriate for single person use with an energy
absorber to EN 355, and a fall arrester to EN 360.
2. USE
Each time before use, the anchorage point should
be inspected to ensure that it is in good order.
Should the equipment be subjected to the forces of
arresting a fall, it should be removed from service
immediately and replaced.
3. INSTALLATION & ORIENTATION
It is the installer’s responsibility to ensure the suitability of
base materials into which the structural anchor device is fi xed
and that it is capable of sustaining the test forces as detailed
in EN 795:2012, Class A.
The height of the anchor point must be carefully chosen
according to the work or inspections to be carried out.
The clearance, or pendulum movement, in the event of a fall
must be free of any obstruction.
Always check that this product is compatible with the other
components of your equipment.
4. INSPECTION
Before and after each use it is necessary to check the
condition of the product.
Always scrap a product
showing signs of wear, which might affect its strength.
Ensure all markings/labels are present and legible.
Verify there are no cracks, deformation, corrosion etc.
Inspect all pieces of the equipment in the system to ensure
they are in good condition and correctly positioned while
in use. An in-depth inspection must be carried out by
a competent inspector, at least every 12 months. This
inspection must be recorded as per the example below:

5. MODIFICATIONS & REPAIRS

6. STORAGE
Do not put in contact with corrosive materials and solvents
Do not store at extreme temperatures.
7. WARRANTY
This product is under warranty for 12 months from the date
of receipt of the product by the fi nal customer.
Exclusions: normal wear and tear, oxidation, modifi cations or
alterations, incorrect storage, poor maintenance, negligence,
uses for which this product is not designed.

8. RESPONSIBILITY
Harken is not responsible for the consequences, direct or
indirect, or accidental, or any other type of damage befalling
or resulting from the use of its products.
9. DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY
Harken UK Ltd, as the authorised EU representative, declares
that this product meets and exceeds the load requirements of
EN 795:2012 Class A.
Compliance has been demonstrated with reference to:

The authorised representative retains a technical fi le for this
equipment.
