SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before Getting Started – Important Information
Before using your VL line system, please review the items below in order to get important
information for the safety and protection of your product.

Do not use this apparatus near water.
6.
Clean only with dry cloth.
7.
Do not block any ventilation openings or heat sink. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions.
8.
Do not install near any heat sources, such as: radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus
(including amplifiers) that produce heat.
9.
Protect the amplifier panel, so that the connectors are not damaged, as well as the potentiometer.
10.
Only use the connectors specified by the manufacturer.
11.
If using a cart or board for transportation, make sure it is in good conditions. Be careful
when transporting the equipment to avoid injury from tip-over.
12.
Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
13.
All servicing must be carried out by qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when
the apparatus has been damaged, such as: damaged power supply cord or plug,
crumpled, scratched or broken screen, if the product does not operate normally or has been dropped.

ANY SERVICING OTHER THAN THAT CONTAINED IN THE OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS MANUAL.”

WARNING - DO NOT EXPOSE THIS APPARATUS TO RAIN OR MOISTURE.
This equipment is not waterproof;
VL line equipment is not intended for installation in outdoor environment with high moisture. The exposure
to moisture may damage the amplifier, as well as the speaker cone, cause corrosion to electrical contacts,
metallic parts and even damage the cabinet;
Do not expose the equipment to direct or strong sunlight, such ultraviolet (UV) radiation may degrade the
equipment.

PAINT CARE - never use solvent, thinner or any other chemical product to clean your equipment. Use a clean
and damp cloth to clean.
17.
Avoid strong impacts, they may damage your equipment. If your equipment is scratched, it is very important to
repair it. If it is not repaired, the wood will be exposed to weather and moisture and such exposure may damage it.
18.
CAUTION - PILE-UP - The VL18-SUB cabinet has been carefully dimensioned to be extremely safe. To
keep the reliability and safety of the product, the following guidelines for handling and installation must be
observed:
Never stack a larger amount of boxes than specified.
All accessories used for system assembly not supplied by JBL are the user´s sole responsibility.
The VL18-SUB straps are designed for manual transport. These straps should not be used in an overhead
system installation (Fly); The misuse or improper use is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
