The Si Performer has integrated DMX512 (Digital Multiplex) facilities for lighting control. There is a
DMX output on the rear panel, and four ‘ALT’ layers of DMX controllers corresponding to four DMX
presets - each with DMX Masters assignable to the normal Fader Layers. DMX Layers are also
integrated into the Cuelist and Snapshot system.
The Si Performer DMX control system operates in a similar manner to a four-preset lighting console. It has
four layers (ALT + FADERS A-D) of identical DMX channel faders, and each layer has its own DMX Master
fader (MONO/SEL fader A-D).
DMX Fader Layers are accessed by presing and holding the ALT button and selectng a Fader Layer
(FADER button group) A-D. DMX Master Faders A-D are assignable to normal Fader Layers and Control
Channels in the same way as DSP Channels (see 3.2.1).
By using this system you can set four different lighting presets and fade between them using just the four
DMX Masters. By assigning the DMX masters to the same Layer as your VCA Masters, for example, you
can control light and sound from the same Layer, on the same console.
