5: INPUTS & OUTPUTS
The console has an assignable patching system for all inputs and outputs. In other words, any
DSP Channel input or output can be assigned a physical input or output. At its simplest, this might
mean that the input to Channel 1 is patched to MIC01 (the first local mic/line XLR
socket).
The console does have a factory default patching configuration, which is used whenever the console
is reset to its default (SYSTEM menu > RESET PATCHING or RESET ALL)..
Additionally, the console has two ViSi compatible option card slots - one with 64-in / 64-out expan
-
sion capability and the other with 64-in / 56 out expansion capability. The first uses a 64-in/64 out
expansion bus (DIGITAL IN 1 - 64 & DIGITAL OUT 1-64). The second uses a 64-in/32-out expansion
bus (DIGITAL IN 65-128 & DIGITAL OUT 65-96). That is, the second card provides 56 available
outputs to 32 possible output patches. Both can be used with a wide range of ViSi I/O cards, or a
Soundcraft Stagebox (when a MADI card is installed).
