MediaDirector 2251B rear panel
The rear panel for the MediaDirector 2251B includes 6 connections for I/O modules, as well as 10 Gb
Ethernet ports for file transfers, SAS connections for storage, and EFS connections.

Boot drive
Top bay only

Power button/LED
This button/LED turns the unit On/Off. If a
power cord is attached to the unit and the
button is pressed, the LED flashes blue to
indicate the unit is transitioning. Once the unit
has fully powered up, the LED changes to solid
light blue.

LTC connector
Use to connect a LTC timecode source to the
MediaDirector. Note that the MediaDirector
LTC timecode will override the reference VITC
obtained from the MediaPort.

1 Gb Ethernet connector
and LEDs
Use for system management. Note that the
Ethernet card and LED type may vary from the
one show here. Refer to "1 Gb Ethernet port
status LEDs (for system management)" for a
description of the possible Ethernet cards and
possible LEDs
