Setting the unit ID number
You may create a Unit ID Number, displayed on the Unit ID Display of the MediaStore, in order to track
and maintain multiple MediaStores.
Please note the following when setting the Unit ID Number:
• Software within the I/O module controls the use of the Unit ID Number within the system.
• By default, and when there are no I/O modules installed, the display will show “00.”
• The Unit ID Number is not set until the system is powered on. Once the Unit ID Number is set, it is
stored in the I/O module and will appear in the Unit ID Display when the MediaStore is next powered
on.
• Harmonic recommends that you set the Unit ID of the first MediaStore in your Spectrum system to “01”
and to increase Unit ID by one for each additional MediaStore.
To set the Unit ID Number:
1. On the
Operator Panel
, press the
Alarm Silence Button
for five seconds.
2. When the left-hand digit begins to flash, press the
Alarm Silence Button
to change the number.
Each time you press the
Alarm Silence Button
, the number will increase by one.
3. When the required number is reached, press the
Alarm Silence Button
for five seconds to set the
number.
