b.
Firmly insert the Interface card into its connector at about a 45 degree angle.
c.
Press down on the top of the card to lock it into the two card latches.
8.
Plug the blue cable included with the kit into J3 on the Dual Selector panel.
9.
Hold the panel above its slot in the frame and plug the blue cable into the blue RJ-45 LAN Pass Thru
jack, noting the jack’s letter. (The same lettered jack on the rear panel is used to connect the
16x2MicroRouter.)
10.
Plug the red cable back into J5.
11.
Set the panel onto the chassis mounting tabs, arranging the red and blue cables so they do not press
against the Interface card or get pinched by the panel’s sides.
12.
Refasten the panel to the chassis.
13.
Connect a straight-thru CAT-6 cable from the rear panel LAN Pass Thru jack, using the same letter jack

4X-A2D Quad Converter
PRE99-1430, a 4X-A2D Quad Converter (Figure 2-13) converts four balanced or unbalanced analog inputs
into four AES-3 digital outputs. The converter is used in facilities with more analog peripherals than console
inputs to connect four analog peripherals to four NetWave digital inputs or any other AES input.
Figure 2-13. 4X-A2D Quad Analog-Digital Converter
The 4X-A2D converter is also available with two pre-wire packages:
●
PRE99-1430-1 includes four 3-foot MOD IV to MOD IV cables (to jumper the 4X-A2D digital outputs to
four NetWave digital inputs) to the 4X-A2D converter and connector kit.
●
PRE99-1430-2 includes nine eight 20-foot pigtail cables so that the converter can be placed almost
anywhere within the studio. Four cables are 6-pin MOD IV to pigtails to connect analog devices. The
other five cables are 3-pin MOD IV to pigtails to connect to the NetWave console and to a digital
reference signal.
