OPERATION
Unplug the spot cleaner.
Depress the tank release button above the solution tank.
NOTE:
The solution tank is on the same side of the
appliance as the cord wrap.
Lift the tank up and away from the spot cleaner.
Unscrew the measuring cap and remove it from the tank.
Fill the tank with the desired amount of warm water (up
to 0.4 gallons).
CAUTION:
Do not boil or microwave water. Do not fill with water
above 140°F (60°C).
Carefully pour the solution into the measuring cap and
pour into solution tank. Use recommended amount.
NOTE:
Using more than the recommended amount of
detergent may cause excessive foaming.
WARNING:
To reduce risk of fire and electric shock due to internal
component damage, use only HART cleaning products
intended for use with the appliance.
HART PET FORMULA
Large Mess
- top fill line
(0.4 gal water)
1.5 oz detergent (3 caps)
Small Mess
- bottom fill
line (0.1 gal water)
.5 oz (1 cap)
Rinse the measuring cap with clean water.
Replace the measuring cap and tighten securely.
Lower the bottom of the solution tank onto the spot
cleaner at an angle and then push the top of the tank
toward the spot cleaner until the release button clicks
into place.
Move the spot cleaner to the area being cleaned.
NOTE:
The spot cleaner may leak during and after use.
Place a towel or absorbent material under the appliance
during use and remove the appliance from the cleaning
surface when not in use.
Remove the pet tool and hose from the storage clips.
Select and install the desired tool insert into the pet tool.
NOTE:
This model comes with the brush insert
preinstalled. Other inserts are available for purchase and
can be used for a variety of cleaning tasks.
Plug the spot cleaner into an AC power supply.
Press the on/off button to start the spot cleaner.
Hold the pet tool at an angle and suction away any excess
liquid from the affected area.
NOTE:
Always hold the pet tool at angle when suctioning.
Suctioning power decreases when the pet tool is
horizontal to the cleaning surface.
Squeeze the spray trigger to apply cleaning solution.
Using the pet brush, scrub and break up stubborn stains.
NOTE:
Scrub back and forth while applying downward
pressure.
Hold the pet tool at an angle and suction away debris
and moisture.
Continue applying solution, scrubbing, and suctioning
until the stains or spots are removed.
NOTE:
If the motor begins to whine or if suction decreases
during use, turn the spot cleaner off and empty the
recovery tank as described later in
Maintenance
.
When cleaning is complete, press the on/off button to
stop the spot cleaner.
Unplug the spot cleaner and remove it from the cleaned
area.
Empty and clean the recovery tank as described later in
Maintenance
.
Allow the area to dry.
NOTICE:
Keep bystanders, children, and pets away from the
cleaned area until it is completely dry. If additional
cleaning is required, wait until the area is completely dry
before using the appliance again.
