G. Removing the 20 Splined Propeller Models

: If the propeller is equipped with an anti-ice or a de-
ice system, follow the manufacturer’s instructions
for removing the components necessary for
propeller removal.
CAUTION
:
TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE BLADE
AND BLADE PAINT, WRAP THE BLADE
SHANKS IN SEVERAL LAYERS OF
MASKING OR DUCT TAPE BEFORE
REMOVING THE SPINNER DOME.
(1) Spinner dome removal
(a) Remove the screws and washers that secure the
spinner to the bulkhead.
(b) Remove the spinner dome.
(c) Remove layers of masking or duct tape from each
blade shank, if applicable.

: DURING ENGINE INSTALLATION OR
REMOVAL, USING THE PROPELLER TO
SUPPORT THE WEIGHT OF THE ENGINE
IS NOT AUTHORIZED. UNAPPROVED
INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL
TECHNIQUES MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO
THE PROPELLER THAT MAY LEAD TO
FAILURE AND RESULT IN AN AIRCRAFT
ACCIDENT.
