F. Start Locks Fail to Latch on Shutdown
(1) Propeller was feathered before shutdown.
(2) Shutdown occurred at high RPM with propeller control off
the low pitch stop.
The problem may be solved by restarting the engine,
placing the propeller control in the proper shutdown
position, and then shutting down the engine.
(3) Excessive governor pump leakage.
The problem should be referred to a certified propeller
repair station with the appropriate rating.
(4) Broken Start Locks.
The problem should be referred to a certified propeller
repair station with the appropriate rating.
