(4) Visually examine the counterweight clamps for cracks,
corrosion, and paint condition.
(a) Refer to “Counterweight Clamp” in the Inspection
Procedures section of this chapter.
(b) A cracked counterweight clamp must be referred
to a certified propeller repair station with the
appropriate rating.
(5) Visually examine the B-3842-0500 anti-rotation pins
installed in the counterweight clamp of a PC-21 5-Blade
propeller for fractures or cracks. Refer to Figure 5-3.
(a) Propellers with pins containing cracks that
encompass less than 50% of the pin’s circumference
may be returned to service.
