Regular maintenance
Your Harvst smart greenhouse should operate with minimal attention, but there are a
few things that will help keep it running in top condition.
Clean the water filter, which is built into the water valves. You’ll need to unscrew the
snap-on hose connector from the valves, and clean out the filter.
Clean the spray nozzles with a toothbrush to dislodge any grit. If one is completely
blocked you can remove it and use a pin or wire.
Clean the polycarbonate panels to ensure you don’t get growth or mould on it. Clean
panels will let as much light as possible get to your plants.
Extending your smart garden system
The standard irrigation system can be modified in multiple ways, to give your plants
just the right amount of water, in the right place. The misters and sprayers fitted in the
factory can be replaced by any 4mm micro-irrigation equipment, within reason - based
on the water pump’s capacity.
Remove the provided nozzle, and push a 4mm barbed connector into the hole. Link up
your drippers and hoses into that connector. If you want to block off some of the
connectors, you can buy 4mm micro irrigation plugs.
If your Harvst smart greenhouse is connected to a garden hose, you’ll have a lot more
pressure and will have the ability to power more outlets. In reality, if you’re using the
system within a Harvst greenhouse, it’s a small area; the pump has been designed for a
maximum of 10 sprayers.
