5. MAINTENANCE
Proper maintenance of your hand pump is critical to its longevity. Failure to properly maintain it
will result in premature failure, and may void your warranty.
•
Use only approved filters, hoses, fittings, and accessories. It is your responsibility to check
for leaks before using to fill.
•
Use only high quality silicone-based oil for lubrication. Failure to do so may result in
accelerated wear and premature failure. Only place oil on the pump shaft. DO NOT
ALLOW OIL TO ENTER THE AIR INLET!
•
To reliably produce clean and dry air, the dryer filter media must be monitored on a regular
basis and changed when necessary. Filter life will vary due to many factors, including but
not limited to: humidity, temperature, purge frequency, and cycle times.
•
Filters are easily replaced by unscrewing the filter body from the hose using the
included spanner wrenches.
•
Certain climates and operating conditions may warrant the use of an additional inline
filter. Contact HatsanUSA or your retailer to order this part.
•
Parts of this hand pump could become hot enough to cause burns. If the pump becomes
hot to the touch, discontinue use immediately and allow it to cool down to room
temperature. Failure to do so may result in premature seal and valve failure.
