A solar light is an environment-friendly product. A solar cell
converts sunlight into electricity and recharges the battery.
The light turns on automatically at dusk using the electricity
stored during the day.
general notes
·
Read the instructions carefully before use.
·
Keep these instructions for future reference and include
these instructions if you pass on the product to third par-
ties.
·
The solar light is intended as decorative outdoor illumina-
tion. Any other use as well as modifications of the product
have to be considered as improper use and could cause
injuries or product damages. The manufacturer will not
be held responsible for any damages resulting from such
improper use.
·
Not for commercial use.
Safety notes
⚠
Warning
Life and accident risk for toddlers and kids! To
avoid danger of suffocation, keep packing ma-
terials away from babies and children. Risk of
suffocation due to packing material. Small parts
can be swallowed! Children often underestimate
the dangers!
·
This solar light is only suitable for decoration and not a toy!
·
NEVER look directly and unprotected into the LED!
attention
The integrated LED is not replaceable.
Set up
·
Press the „On“-button. The solar light is now ready-to-
use.
·
The battery should be charged at least 8-12 hours before
first use to reach its full capacity. To load the battery only
partly will shorten the lifetime of the battery drastically.
·
The light will turn on automatically at dusk.
·
To turn the solar light off, press the „On“-button again.
Location & installation
·
The light ON time depends on your geographical location,
weather conditions and seasonal lighting availability.
·
Select a location with full direct sunlight. In a shaded loca-
tion the battery will not charged completely.
·
Do not place the solar light near to night-time light sour-
ces such as domestic lighting or street lights. The lights
may not turn on.
·
Choose a location with high solar radiation.
·
In winter solar cells do not receive as much sunlight as
in summer. That will affect the number of hours the solar
light is illuminated for.
Battery
If necessary replace the battery with a rechargeable battery
of the same type (see Technical details). Other battery types
could damage the solar light.
1. If necessary replace the rechargeable battery by opening
the battery compartment. Therefore please remove the
solar cell.
2. Replace the rechargeable battery with a fresh rechar-
geable battery. Be sure to align the polarity (+/-) of the
battery as indicated by the polarity inscriptions inside of
the battery compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment and put the solar cell
back to the ball.
noticE
NEVER dispose of old and used batteries with your
household waste! Every end user is engaged to
take back empty batteries. They can be delivered
free of charge to the selling point or a local coll-
ecting point!
troubleshooting
If your solar light does not turn on at night, it may be caused
by one the following reasons:
·
The battery needs bright daylight to recharge. Cloudy
weather may cause the battery to loose power. The solar
cell will recharge the battery on the next sunny day and
return to normal operation.
·
Check the position of the solar cell (see Location & ins-
tallation). If the solar cell does not receive enough direct
sunlight, it can not recharge the battery completely.
·
Dirty solar cell: A dirty solar cell can not recharge the bat-
tery completely. This affects the battery lifetime. Clean the
solar cell from dirt and debris.
·
If the solar light does not turn on in periodes of good wea-
ther conditions, the battery should be replaced.
cleaning and care
Clean the solar cell regularly with a damp cotton or micro-
fibre cloth.
Storage
During permanently bad weather (hail, storms, snow, ...) you
should remove the solar light and store in a dry place. Turn
off the product. Let the rechargeable battery charge again
completely before you use it again.
