SETUP & OPERATION
MAINTENANCE & STORAGE
1. Always use clean, dry and regulated, compressed air at a working pressure of
between 75 and 90 PSI.
2. Never exceed the maximum pressure of 90 PSI. Operating the tool with excessive
pressure could cause personal injury, and may result in excessive noise and
damage to the tool.
3. Keep hands and other parts of the body away from the tool’s discharge and
working areas when connecting the air supply.
4. It is recommended that a filter-regulator-lubricator be used, and that it be located
as close to the tool as possible.
5. If a filter-regulator-lubricator is not installed, place up to 6 drops of compressor oil
into the NPT inlet plug before each use.
6. If a filter-regulator-lubricator is installed, keep the air filter clean. A dirty filter will
reduce the air pressure to the tool, which will cause a reduction in power,
efficiency, and general performance.
7. For optimal performance, install a quick connector to the tool and a quick coupler
on the hose, if applicable.
8. Verify that all of the connections in the air supply system are sealed in order to
prevent air from leaking.
Operating Air-powered Impact Wrench
1. Only use impact sockets that are specifically designed for use with an air-powered
wrench.
2. Connect the air-powered wrench to the air hose.
3. Place the socket over the nut to be removed or installed, and depress the trigger
in order to operate the wrench.
4. Use the toggle switch at the top of the handle to change direction between forward
and reverse. Depress the left side for reverse rotation (counter-clockwise), or
depress the right side for forward rotation (clockwise).
5. The speed of the tool (air flow) can be regulated by adjusting the speed control
knob between 0 (slowest) and 5 (fastest).
6. Verify that the air supply is clean, and that it does not exceed 90 PSI while
operating the wrench.
7. Keep children away from tools and workplaces.
8. Do not apply excessive or additional force to the wrench in order to remove a nut.
9. Do not allow the air-powered wrench to run free for an extended period of time.
Doing so will shorten the life of the wrench.
The tool owner and operator are responsible for assuring that the tool is kept in safe
working order. Furthermore only service personnel trained by the manufacturer or
distributor should repair the tool.
CAUTION:
Disconnect the air-powered impact wrench from the air supply before
changing accessories, servicing, or performing maintenance. Replace or repair
damaged parts or accessories before using the air-powered impact wrench. Use only
recommended and properly rated replacement parts and accessories.
1. Clean and inspect your tool every time you use it.
2. Lubricate the air-powered impact wrench daily by dripping a few drops of air tool oil
into the air inlet.
3. Do not use worn or damaged accessories.
4. Check the level of lubrication in the gearbox by removing the set-screw that is
located under the tool head, and top it up if necessary.
