OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING
Check the chain tension before each use.
Always use protective gloves.
1. Move the chain brake lever (E) fully rearward (towards the front handle) to
unlock chain brake. Listen for audible click as sign chain brake is unlocked
(Fig. 1).
2. Press in on the clutch cover lock knob and rotate counterclockwise until the
clutch cover can be removed (Fig. 2).
3. Remove the clutch cover from the chainsaw body
4. Lay out the saw chain in a loop and straighten the links. The cutters should face
in the direction of chain rotation. If they face backwards, turn the loop over
(Fig.3).
5. Place the chain drive links into the bar groove (Fig.4).
6. Position the chain so there is a loop at the back of the bar (Fig.4).
7. Hold the chain in position on the bar and place the loop around the sprocket
(Fig.5).
Check immediately whether all parts and accessories are included. If anything is
missing, or broken, contact Customer service at 1-888-874-8661.

Always wear gloves when working with saw chain.
Make sure to match the chain teeth correctly with the corresponding
sprocket teeth.
