4. Adjusting the cutting angle (see fig 9)
The trimmer has a 4-position tilting cutter
head which can be adjusted to achieve a
comfortable and efficient working angle for
trimming on slopes and under trees and
fences.
To adjust the angle of the cutter head, simply
hold the guard down and pivot the shaft by
push up or down on the shaft.

5. Adjusting the main handle (see fig 10 and
11)
The main handle is a 2-position handle. It
can be adjusted for single-hand use or for
two-handed use. To adjust the handle, turn
the release knob counter-clockwise, adjust
the handle and retighten the release knob by
turning it clockwise.
6. Adjusting the cutting line
The machine is equipped with an automatic
line feed system – there is no need to adjust
the trimmer line by hand.
When initially switching on the trimmer, a small
length of line is fed out. A ‘clattering’ noise will
be heard for a short time. This is normal and is
caused by the line being cut by the line cutter.
Once the line is cut to the correct length, the
‘clattering’ noise will stop and the trimmer
motor will run at full speed.
To feed more line, stop the trimmer completely,
then restart, allowing the motor to reach
full speed. Repeat this until you hear the
‘clattering’ noise of the line cutting.
