OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
5. Push the lock forward and allow the feeder shoe to slide forward against nails.
6. Rotate the exhaust cover, so that the exhaust air blast will be directed away
from the operator: Grasp the defl ector and rotate it to the desired position.
USING THE TOOL
Complete all the steps in PREPARING THE TOOL before using. This tool can be
fi red in two different ways:
SEQUENTIAL FIRE:
1. Turn the trigger mode selector (
A, fi g.5
) so the tail of selector is up.
2. Put the contact tip (
C, fi g.6
) of the tool on the working surface.
3. Lightly push the tool toward the working surface until the safety bracket is
depressed.
4.
Press the trigger to drive the fasteners. This “trigger fi re” method provides the
most accurate fastener placement.
BUMP FIRE:
1. Turn the trigger mode selector (
A, fi g.5
) so the tail of selector is down.
2. Hold the contact tip (
C, fi g.6
) off the surface.
3. Press the trigger.
4. Keeping the trigger pressed, push the contact tip of the safety bracket (
C, fi g.6
)
against the working surface. Once the bracket is pushed back enough, the nail
will fi re.
CAUTION:
z
Remove your fi nger from the trigger when not driving fasteners.
z
Never carry the tool with your fi nger on the trigger: the tool will fi re a fastener
if the safety is bumped.
z
Keep the tool pointed in a safe direction at all times.
z
Never attempt to drive a fastener into material that is too hard, at too steep an
angle, or near the edge of the work piece. The fastener can ricochet causing
personal injury.
z
Clean and inspect the tool daily.
z
Carefully check for proper operation of the trigger and safety.
z
Do not use the tool unless both the trigger and the safety mechanism are
functional, or if the tool is leaking air or needs any other repair.
