MAINTENANCE
Remove mineral deposits
To keep your percolator operating efficiently, you should remove the
mineral deposits left by the water regularly according to the water
quality in your area, and the frequency use of the appliance.
1. To remove mineral deposits, fill the percolator with vinegar to the
4 cup level and then add water to the 6 (Helena 2.0) / 12 (Helena
4.1) cup level. Combined mixture must not exceed 6 / 12 cups.
Make sure that all parts are in place, and make sure that the lid is
securely on.
2. Connect the power cord to an electrical outlet. Let the unit run
through its normal cycle. Once complete, discard the vinegar and
water mixture.
3. Run one cycle of fresh, cold water (without vinegar) through the
unit before using the unit to brew coffee again.
