If shooting at high angles in the mountains, firing rifles
that have fast dropping bullet trajectories, or shooting
bows from a tree stand, HD mode gives a more realistic
distance for use when calculating holdover aimpoints.
If you hold the POWER button while in HD mode
the range finder will continuously scan so you can
move around and get constant updates of the
horizontal distance.
ANGLE MODE
Angle mode measures the angle of projection. It is
measured to the nearest tenth of a degree. The straight
line distance is shown on the upper distance readout and
the angle measurement is shown on the lower distance
readout. When aiming downhill a minus symbol will
appear to the left of the angle display.
BRIGHTNESS MODE
It is possible to select the brightness of the OLED display.
There are 6 brightness levels to choose from, 1-6.
Brightness mode is selected when all display icons show
at the same time. The brightness level is displayed on the
upper distance readout line. Press the POWER button to
cycle through the brightness levels. The brightness setting
is saved for next use until the battery is removed.
UNITS OF
MEASUREMENT
The laser range finder can measure in meters or yards.
To change between the two settings hold the MODE
button for 3 seconds. M = metres, Y = yards.
