 Design and Function

removal: 

  Professional removal of the clutch components takes place in reverse order to the installation. The only 

difference is that fixing tools are not used.

reset: 

  When using a new clutch disc with a used clutch pressure plate, the adjusting ring of the clutch pressure 

plate has to be re-positioned.

•  For  this  application,  select  pressure  plate  3  hole  2174-13;  set    4  hole  2174-14  supplied 

with threaded spindle 2174-10 to threaded bolt 2174-6   7   8 (observe thread size M6   M7   M8) and 

screw in place with nuts M8 2174-15  (flush).

•  Insert reset tool 2174-9 into the recess of the adjusting ring.

•  Press down the diaphragm spring of the clutch pressure plate with threaded spindle 2174-10 until the 

adjusting ring begins to turn clockwise.

•  Use reset tool 2174-9 (anti-clockwise) to re-position the adjusting ring.

•  Do not apply force to adjusting ring with reset tool 2174-9.

•  Turn threaded spindle 2174-10 back, pressure plate 3 hole 2174-13; remove 4 hole 2174-14  with threaded 

spindle 2174-10, reset tool 2174-9, nuts M8 2174-15 and threaded bolts 2174-6   7   8.  

•  Installation as described.

•  Always keep the device clean

•  Do not use degreasing agents or water in order to 

avoid corrosion

•  Inspection and repair may only be carried out by 

qualified personnel.

Storage

The tool must be stored according the following conditions:

•  Do not store the tool set outdoors.

•  Keep the tool set in a dry and dust-free place.

•  Do not expose the tool set to liquids and aggressive substances.

•  Storage temperature: -10 up to +45°C.

•  Relative air humidity: max. 60%.

Disposal

•  For  disposal,  clean  the  device  and  disassemble  it  according  to  the  regulations  for  work  safety  and 

 environmental protection. Recycle all recyclable components.
