Introduction
This Operating Manual describes only those functions which differ from the
MP55. The features of the MP55IBS correspond to those of the MP55.
The MP55 carrier-frequency amplifier has been expanded to include an
Interbus-S interface. The features on the CAN-interface remain the same; the
object directory is expanded to include some parameters for the Interbus
connection.
The Interbus-S port uses a 15-pin sub-D connector (conforming to standard)
with an adapter on the front panel next to the transducer port.
The MP55IBS is a remote bus participant.
The following are communicated:
−
the measured values (gross, net, peak values)
−
the status of the limit value switches
−
control bits for taring, zeroing, peak value store control and changing the
parameter set, and
−
the limit values
The Interbus-S interface is fitted with the SUPI3 slave protocol chip from
Phoenix Contact. This module handles Interbus-S communication in its
entirety. An SRE1 serial shift register is also fitted. It allows up to 20 bytes of
I/O data to be sent over the bus. The maximum data transfer rate depends on
the number of objects selected and can be up to 1kHz.
