4. Selected by selector switch
DC and AC Current measurement
a. For measurement up to 400mAmp. Connect the black
test lead to
socket and red test lead to the
“mA/BAT” socket. Set the selector switch to desired
“mA
“ position, and press
SELECT
key to choose
“AC” or “DC” function.
b. For current measurement from 400 mAmp. to 10
Amp. connect the red test lead
“10 Amp.”
socket. Set
selector switch to “A
“ position, and press
SELECT
key to choose “AC” or “DC” function.
c. Connect the probes across the source or load under
measurement.
WARNING.
To avoid damage to the meter or injury if the fuse blows,
never attempt an in-circuit current measurement where
the open-circuit potential to earth is greater than 250 V.
To avoid damage to the meter, check the meter’s fuses
before proceeding. Never place the probes in parallel
with a circuit or component when the leads are plugged
into the current terminals.
The “OL” sign will appear on the display when the
input current is more than 10Amp.
Note: Not to measure a current in a circuit with voltage
more than 250 V.
Battery test
a. Connect the black test lead to the
socket and
the red test lead to the
“mA/BAT”
socket.
b. Set the selector switch to
“BATT 1.5 V.”
position for
AA size battery, to
“BATT 9 V.”
position for 9 V. battery.
c. On the LCD is the percentage value of the output
voltage to the marked value with the condition that the
measured battery is loaded.

Temperature measurement
a. Set the selector switch to the
“TEMP °C/°F”
range
and connect the k type thermocouple’s plug ÷ to
socket and + to the
TEMP °C/°F
socket.

RPM (TACH) / DUTY / DWELL measurement
a. Connect the black test lead to the
socket and
the red test lead to the “RPM / DUTY / DWELL” position.
b. Set the selector switch to the “RPM / DUTY / DWELL”
position.
c. Pressing the
SELECT
key can shift the folowing
functions in turn: speed of revolution (RPM), Duty, Dwell.
d. Use
RANGE
key to select for different car cylinders.
Select the number of cylinders by pressing this key,
they are respectively 4cyl, 5cyl, 6cyl, 8cyl, 10cyl,
12cyl, 1cyl, 2cyl and 3cyl, then it returns to 4cyl.
e. Connect the red test probe to “BREAKER POINTS”
or “-” terminal of IGNITION COIL, and connect the
black probe to “GROUND” or “-” terminal of battery.
f. Start the engine and read engine RPM, or DUTY,
or DWELL angle.
Other Functions
1. Beeper Function
a. When the key is pressed, the beeper beeps one short
sound.
b. Beeper will keep 5 sounds for warning in 1 minute before
auto power off, and beep 1 sound before power off.
c. In auto selection mode, it effects and sounds only
while pressing
SELECT
key with “SCAn” on the LCD.
2. Auto Power-OFF
When power on meter without press any button, it at
auto power off mode and the auto power off indicator
will appear on LCD. When the meter at auto power
off state, it has been turned on about 10 minutes without
any action from the user, the meter will automatically
change to “OFF” mode and press any button to wake up
again. If press and hold any button to turn on the meter,
the auto power off indicator
will disappear from LCD
and the meter will cancel auto power off mode.
Care and Maintenance
Your Digital Multimeter is an example of superior design
and craftmanship. The following suggestions will help
you care for the multimeter so you can enjoy it for years.
1. Keep the multimeter dry. If it gets wet, wipe it dry
immediately. Liquids can contain minerals that can
corrode electronic circuits.
2. Use and store the multimeter only in normal tempera-
ture environments. Temperature extremes can shorten
the life of electronic devices, damage batteries, and
distort or melt plastic parts.
3. Handle the multimeter gently and carefully. Dropping it
can damage the circuit boards and case and can
cause the multimeter to work improperly although the
holster can provide enough protection.
4. Keep the multimeter away from dust and dirt, which
can cause premature wear of parts.
5. Wipe the multimeter with a damp cloth occasionally to
keep it looking new. Do not use harsh chemicals,
cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to clean the
multimeter.
6. Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type.
Always remove old or weak batteries. They can leak
chemicals that destroy electronic circuits.
