AC3 Dolby Digital Audio: Connecting to a Digital Audio Amplifier
Choose one of the following TWO Digital Audio Connections:
1. Digital Coaxial Audio
You will require a separately purchased coaxial audio lead
Connect the audio lead to the HHR787 (orange connector) and connect to the
corresponding digital audio connector of you decoder amplifier.
2. S/PDIF Optical Audio
You will require a separately purchased S/PDIF Optical lead.
Connect the S/PDIF optical lead to the S/DIF connector of the HHR787 and
then to the SPDIF connector of your amplifier.
Note: Either of these 2 leads will provide AC3 Dolby digital audio to your Dolby
digital decoder amplifier when the TV program carries a Dolby digital signal.
Once you have made you Dolby digital audio lead connection, please action
the following:
Press the AUDIO key on the remote control
AUDIO CTL Page will appear
With the page in view, use the main Up/Down arrow Keys on the remote
control and Scroll down to MULAUDIO Type 1 (AC3).
Connecting the antenna: ANT IN Connector (mandatory)
Remove the antenna cable from your TV Ant In socket and connect to the ANT
IN socket on the set top box. Note: the twin tuners are connected by a single
input, a simpler and more effective solution that eliminates additional wiring.
Antenna Loop Out
This is an optional connection. The Loop Out passes the antenna signal to
another receiver.
Note: Antenna Loop Out becomes idle when receiver is switched to STANDBY
