Top & Side Stone Procedure:
Note: Always work on a cold stove. Use care
in handling stones and enamel front to avoid
chipping and scratching of parts.
1. Identify and lay out the stones based on the
description above.
2. Remove the cast top from the stove by carefully
lifting up, taking care not to chip the edges.
3. Note the steel side stone clips/heat shields
already in place (used to retain the side stones).
4. Slide the side stones (
7-3/4” x 10-3/4”)
down in
front of the heat shields through the slots in the
top with the polished side facing out. To avoid
scratching and to make sliding easier, ensure
you keep the stones back from the corner
braces as you slide them down. Install only one
stone at a time. Do not use one stone to push
the other down (See following image).
5. Replace the top casting on the stove.
6. Lay top stones into place starting from one side
to the other.
Inserting the Side Stones
Rear Stone Procedure
Note: Always work on a cold stove. Use care
in handling stones and enamel front to avoid
chipping and scratching of parts.
1. Remove the existing rear panels from the stove
by removing the four Phillips head screws
holding them in place. Reinsert the screws to
plug the existing holes.
2. Install the rear stones by inserting the outside
edge first and then rotating the stone in. The
stone will drop down into a channel once parallel
to the back of the stove.
3. Repeat with second stone.
